N-terminal Sequencing
The N-terminal Sequencing facility offers expertise and assistance in protein and peptide N-terminal sequencing (Edman degradation method), using an ABI Procise Protein Sequencer, an ABI Microgradient Pump System and an ABI Programmable Absorbance Detector.
The N-terminal facility serves ITQB NOVA researchers as well as external users. Please see the contacts below for more information.
Sample requirements
100 to 500 pmol of purified and homogeneous protein or peptide preparations are required for analysis. Samples can be either liquid or blotted onto the PVDF membrane. Protocols to prepare sample preparations for analysis are provided by the contact person upon request.
