Centro de Ressonância Magnética António Xavier (CERMAX)

ITQB NOVA hosts the largest Portuguese NMR facility – Centro de Ressonância Magnética António Xavier (CERMAX). CERMAX has several NMR spectrometers, including the highest field NMR spectrometer in Portugal. This equipment is part of the National NMR Facility.

1. Spectrometer time: Available to expert users. Provides hands-on access to the instruments for experimental set-up and data collection.

2. Data acquisition: Collection of NMR data for research groups and companies needing access to specific experiments or field strength.

3. Contract research: For groups or companies wishing to outsource NMR R&D activities. This mode can include experiment set-up, data collection, spectral analysis and presentation of results.

4. Consulting: For groups or companies without expertise in NMR for their R&D needs. Can be a preparatory step for Data acquisition or Contract research.

800 MHz with He cryoprobe and samplecase
500 MHz with N2 cryoprobe (Prodigy)
500 MHz multiprobe
400 MHz multiprobe with autosampler
300 MHz multiprobe
